People get used to soldiers dieing around here,
People get used to soldiers dieing, but not so near.

 People get used to soldiers trying around here,
People get used to soldiers, crying without tears.

People get used to soldiers giving their ever all,
People get used to soldiers, but not seeing them fall.

People get used to soldiers reaching out for others.
People get used to soldiers teaching to be brothers.

People get used to soldiers doing what they’re told,
People get used to soldiers never growing old.

People get used to soldiers standing for us all,
People get used to soldiers, we sure do miss them when they fall.
